A NIGHT OF SOLO FLAMENCO AND JAZZ GUITAR
Join us at Cafe 9 for what promises to be a stunning evening of solo flamenco and jazz guitar!
This concert features two of the UK's leading musicians:
Samuel Moore - flamenco guitarist
Jamie Taylor - jazz guitarist
Each will perform a solo programme showcasing their respective art forms.
This concert is a fundraiser for the Save UK Grassroots Jazz campaign, organised by Nigel Price.
SAMUEL MOORE BIO
Hailed as A fantastic flamenco guitarist (BBC Radio 3), Samuel Moore is fast establishing himself as one of Europes leading flamenco musicians. Since 2007 he has performed in venues across the UK, Europe and North America. In 2019 he recorded his début album Guitar, The Heart of Spain at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.
As an educator Samuel serves as the principle flamenco guitar tutor at Arpeggiato School Of Music (Chicago, USA). Previously he served as Course Leader for Flamenco Guitar Studies at the Instituto de Cervantes
(2012-2017), the Spanish governments international institute for language and culture. Furthermore, he has also led workshops at The University of Cambridge, The University of Leeds, Newcastle University and International Guitar Foundation events.
Samuel is a former student of the world-renowned flamenco guitarists Juan Martín and Grisha Goryachev. Hes also attended masterclasses led by the great Paco Peña and is an alumnus of Leeds Conservatoire.
Samuel is an affiliated artist of Bam Cases, DPA Microphones, AER Amplifiers, ErgoPlay, Abel Armrests and Shubb Capos.

JAMIE TAYLOR BIO
Jazz guitarist Jamie Taylor has worked with many leading American and European musicians, such as Baptiste Herbin, John Stowell, Sheryl Bailey, Roni Ben-Hur, Steve Fishwick, and Alan Barnes. He features regularly with Sebastiaan DeKroms resident group at Londons legendary Troubadour club, and has made two appearances at Ronnie Scotts in the last year. In the educational sphere, Jamie has held the post of Principal Lecturer in Jazz Guitar at Leeds Conservatoire since 2009, prior to which, he also served as Course Leader for the institution's long-established jazz degree programme.
